Terms
- If you wish to hire a pottery wheel to use at home, we take a deposit - by cheque or credit card is best - to cover us against theft or wilful damage to the wheel.
- Hirees are responsible for any loss or damage that occurs whilst they have posession of the wheel, from signing the hire slip to take it away until signing the pottery wheel in on it's return to us. Rental will not be made to those with no pottery experience. We can provide a short lesson if necessary for your first go. Those with some experience may be asked to demonstrate that experience to ensure proper use of the wheels.
- Wheels should be returned clean and ready to use. An additional charge may be made for cleaning if the wheel is left covered in clay.

You can now book to use one of our pottery wheels. Barefoot have both a large traditional style potter's wheel and a smaller portable wheel that can be easily carried by an adult and transported in a standard sized car boot. So you can book to use a pottery wheel in our studio or to have a potter's wheel to take home!
Hiring a potters wheel to use at home
Our portable electric pottery wheel is a breeze to use. You can pick it up and carry it by yourself. It's got a strong half-horsepower motor capable of handling several kilograms of clay at a time.
Clay and supplies
If you need clay and pottery supplies then we stock a small range of clays which can subsequently be fired in our kiln if desired. We also have a beginner's pottery kit with all the tools you'll need to get started. We can supply (but do not at this time stock) other clays and pottery tools on request.
